„These pictures are drawn with colored pencils? Is that right?“

This statement I can hear quiet often, when others are considering my pictures.

With high-quality colored pencils and a good painting surface, colored pencil drawings can indeed look like oil painitings. The advantage of colored pencils is their high precision and direct applicability.

Saturation and brilliance of colours are outstanding. Details and sharp contrasts are easy to picture and the surface of the painting keeps even.

However this amazing technique demands more patience and time expenses than most other medias.

After experiencing other techniques like water colour, oil, acryl and airbrush I‘m painting since 2013 exclusively with colored pencils and try since then to improve constantly my skills.
